CALIFORNIA RANGERS 
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp. milk
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. rolled oats
1 c. coconut
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening then add sugars, milk, eggs, and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients, oats, coconut, Rice Krispies, and nuts. Mix well; form into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press lightly with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Remove to racks to cool before storing.
