“MOM'S CHILI” IS IN:

MOM'S CHILI 
2 lb. ground beef, seasoned & browned
1 green pepper, chopped small chunks
1 (29 oz.) can tomato puree
1 quart water (4 cups)
2 (6 oz. ea.) cans tomato paste
12 whole allspice berries (McCormick)
2 tbsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. cumin
1 tbsp. sugar

Brown meat and drain. Add all ingredients to large pot. Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer. Cover and simmer for an hour. Stir occasionally.

Optional: Last 1/2 hour of simmering, add a can of drained and rinsed dark red kidney beans.

Optional: Serve with elbow macaroni and oyster crackers. A great side dish is Mom's Sweet Muffins.
