OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE 
3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
2 eggs
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cocoa
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
3/4 c. nuts

Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Let stand 10 minutes. Add sugars and butter. Stir until butter melts. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add. Add about 1/2 package of chocolate chips. Pour batter into 9x13 inch pan. sprinkle nuts and remaining chocolate chips on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
