ITALIAN MEATBALLS 
MEATBALLS:

3 lb. ground chuck
1 tbsp. chopped onion
6 slices bread
4 sm. chopped garlic cloves
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

SAUCE:

4 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 cans tomato soup
1 c. water
1 med. green pepper, cut into strips
1/2 tsp. sugar
6 whole garlic cloves
1/2 tsp. oregano

Make bread slices into very fine crumbs and mix with meat, onion, chopped garlic cloves, egg, salt and pepper. Shape into walnut-size meatballs. Add them to sauce and simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours or until done. Stir occasionally to keep from sticking. Serve in Italian rolls. Serves 6.
