BEEF BARLEY SOUP 
1 qt. water
1 (1 1/4 oz.) env. beef-flavor mushroom mix
1/4 c. barley
1 med. carrot, thinly sliced

Stir water into mix in medium-size saucepan. Blend until smooth. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add barley, cover and cook over medium heat for 1 1/4 hours, stirring occasionally. Add carrot and cook an additional 45 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
