CRANBERRY-PRUNE SQUARES
2 lg. eggs
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. melted butter
1 c. chopped almonds
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. each: allspice, cinnamon, cloves
1 c. chopped moist-pack prunes
1 c. cranberries

In a large bowl, beat together eggs, sugar and butter until well combined. Mix together flour, spices and baking powder; stir into egg mixture, blending well. Stir in almonds, prunes and cranberries.

Spread batter into a well buttered 9 inch square pan. Bake in 350 degree oven until mixture feels firm when lightly touched in center and edges begin to pull from pan, about 45 minutes. Cut into 2 1/2 inch squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
