FLORIDA PRUNE CAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 lg. eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
1 c. chopped stewed prunes, well drained (about 1/2 lb.)

Cream shortening. Add sugar gradually. Cream until fluffy. Blend in eggs. Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder and spices together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk. Blend in prunes. Bake in well greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees. When cool spread with mocha or light chocolate frosting.
