4-5 potatoes sliced similar to large thick fries. Place in glass pie plate or shallow glass dish. Dot butter all across top of potatoes. Sprinkle with American powdered cheese (the kind found in macaroni and cheese boxes). Sprinkle onion flakes and garlic salt over the top. Dash it with pepper. Cover with plastic wrap and cook 3 minutes on high. Cautiously lift plastic wrap and stir around. Cover again and microwave 3 more minutes. Check for tenderness. Cook until tender adding minutes as necessary for your microwave. Fast, tasty, spuds in less than 10 minutes! (Serve size can be adapted easily to family size.)
