LAZY DAY STEW | |
2 lbs. raw beef cubes 3 med. potatoes, peeled and cubed 4 carrots, peeled and cubed 1 med. onion, cubed 2 stalks celery, cubed 8 oz. can tomato sauce 1 tsp. sugar 2 tsp. quick cooking tapioca Arrange beef cubes in a pan large enough to make a single layer. Add the vegetables on top of the meat. Mix the tomato sauce with the sugar and pour over vegetables. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Last of all, scatter tapioca on top. Do not stir. Seal tightly with a lid or foil. Bake at 325 degrees for at least 2 1/2 hours. Don't peek during the cooking time. |
