GRANDMA'S CASSEROLE (EASY
LASAGNA)
 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 sm. onion, diced
1/2 sm. green pepper

Saute until meat is cooked. Drain, if necessary. Add:

1 lg. can crushed tomatoes
1 (15 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
2 c. water
1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Simmer 10 minutes. In a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan, layer sauce and 5 uncooked lasagna noodles, making 3 layers of noodles (15). Top with sauce and 8 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese. Cover with foil. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Test for doneness by inserting knife in center. Let stand 10 minutes to firm.
