RICH CHALLA KUGEL 
1 lg. challa
16 oz. pareve milk
4 oz. apricot jelly
1 c. butter, melted
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 apples, sliced thinly
4 tbsp. chopped walnuts and 1 tbsp. sugar for topping

Break challa apart into chunk size pieces. Soak challa in pareve milk until all liquid is absorbed and pieces are saturated (add water if necessary). Add remaining ingredients. Pour into 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle top of kugel with chopped walnuts and sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes. Serves 10- 12.
