LETHA DAVIS BISCUITS 
1/2 cake yeast in 1/4 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
5 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. sugar
2 c. buttermilk

Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening, stir in buttermilk and yeast. Leave in refrigerator and pinch off as needed.
