AUNT FANNY'S BAKED SQUASH 
3 lb. yellow summer squash
1/2 c onion
1/2 c cracker meal or bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 stick butter
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper

Wash and cut up squash. Boil until tender, drain thoroughly, then mash. Add all ingredients except 1/2 of butter to squash. Melt remaining butter. Pour mixture in baking dish, then spread melted butter over top and sprinkle with cracker meal or bread crumbs.

Bake in 350°F oven approximately one hour or until brown on top.
