CAROLINA CONSOMME RICE | |
2 cups UNCLE BEN'S® Original Rice 2 cans Campbell's Consomme 1 can Campbell's beef broth 1 soup can of water 1 onion, chopped 2 tbsp. butter Sauté chopped onion in butter. When translucent, add the raw rice. Stir for a few minutes until all the rice is covered in butter. Be careful not to burn. Add consomme, beef broth, and can of water. Bring to a low boil. Pour into a Pyrex casserole dish, cover, and cook for 45 minutes at 375°F. Note: If you want to add mushrooms, sauté them with the onions. Using UNCLE BEN'S® rice makes a foolproof dish.
