TOFFEE SQUARES 
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 c. chopped pecans
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter; add sugar, egg yolk and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients; batter will be stiff. Spread flat by patting down with floured hand and make even in greased 13"x20" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately upon removing pan from oven, place 2 (1/2 lb.) Hershey chocolate bars on top. When melted, spread like frosting and put chopped pecans on top. Cut in small squares after it has cooled.
