CEDRIC ADAMS SAGE DRESSING | |
3 sm. loaves of day old bread torn into small bits 1 med. size onion chopped fine 1 lb. butter, melted Add sage enough to taste, but not enough to gag (1 level teaspoon). Salt just enough to season (don't over salt). First get a large pan - mix bread, onion, sage and salt together well. Toss like for salad. Pour over melted butter. Mix well and that is it! The secret is to use butter, not margarine. NOTE: A 1 pound loaf makes 8 cups (2 quarts) of loosely packed crumbs. |
