BEST TWO - EGG CAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. milk

Cream shortening and sugar until light, 12 to 15 minutes. Add vanilla and 2 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Sift together flour and baking powder; add salt. To creamed mixture slowly add the milk. Beat well. Pour into 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased dish. Bake at 375 degrees 20 to 25 minutes.
