BARLEY SOUP 
1 lb. short rib (with bone)
6 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. diced carrots
1/4 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. chopped celery
3/4 c. barley
1 sm. can tomato sauce

Combine the first seven ingredients and cook for one hour. Take out short rib and remove the fat and bone. Cut meat into small chunks. Remove all vegetables and put through a blender. Pout it back into the pot and add the meat chunks, barley and tomato sauce. Cook for 45 minutes.
