EXTRA RICH SPICE CAKE 
CAKE:

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. chopped raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sour cream with sugar. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Sift salt, soda and flour and then re-sift, adding the cinnamon and cloves. Add to sour cream-sugar-egg mixture. Mix in vanilla. Stir in raisins and nuts. Bake for 30 minutes in a greased and floured 9x13 pan in a 350 degree oven. Frost when cool with frosting below.

FROSTING:

1 1/2 tsp. flour
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar

Combine flour and milk and cook in saucepan over low-medium heat until thick, stirring constantly. When cool, add the butter and the sugar, beating until smooth. After frosting cake, keep refrigerated.
