HONEY SPICE CAKE 
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. honey
3 eggs
2 3/4 to 3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sour milk
3/4 tsp. ginger
3/4 tsp. allspice
Nuts (as desired)
Raisins (as desired)

Cream shortening, brown sugar and honey together. Beat in 3 eggs. Add sour milk. Sift flour, baking soda, spices and salt together, and beat into previous mixture. Batter will be runny. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
