CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. vanilla
3 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter and butter. Add sugar slowly. Add egg and beat well. Add vanilla. Slowly add the flour with baking powder; mix well. Roll dough lightly in wax paper. Chill for at least 2 hours in refrigerator. Put a small amount of dough in a cookie press; roll out and cut dough with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 5 to 7 minutes in preheated 425 degree oven.
