SOUR CREAM BANANA BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 3/4 c. shortening 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. commercial sour cream 1/2 c. chopped nuts 2 lg. ripe bananas, mashed 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 2 1/2 c. all purpose flour, sifted Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and vanilla and blend. Add bananas. Sift flour with dry ingredients. Add alternately with sour cream. Stir in nut meats. Bake in 10 inch tube pan at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Wrap in foil to store. This is a very moist bread. |
