SHOOFLY CAKE 
2 1/4 c. water
1 tbsp. baking soda
1 c. Biar Rabbit (green label) molasses
4 c. flour
3 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. oil

Boil 2 1/4 cups water. Remove from heat. Add 1 tablespoon baking soda and 1 cup molasses; let sit. In baking pan (13 x 9 x 2 inch). Mix 4 cups flour, 3 cups brown sugar and 3/4 cup oil. Take 2 cups of mixture out. Pour liquid in and mix around. Then pour the 2 cups crumbs over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
