BEEF AND POTATO CASSEROLE 
4 c. thinly sliced raw potatoes
1/4 c. sliced onion
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. Ritz cracker crumbs
1/4 c. ketchup
4 slices white bread, buttered

In a 3 quart baking dish, place 1/3 of the potatoes. Cover with onion, 1/2 tablespoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Place another 1/3 of potatoes on next and cover with beef, milk, cracker crumbs, ketchup, 1/2 tablespoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Put the last 1/3 of potatoes on next. Cover with buttered bread slices and gently press down. Bake, covered, in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
