CHINESE CHOW MEIN LOAF 
2 lbs. hamburger
1 c. celery, 1/4 inch pieces
1 c. onion, 1/4 inch pieces
1 c. rice
1 can mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (No. 2) can Chow Mein noodles

Brown hamburger in deep skillet until separated. Add celery and onion. Cook over low heat until onion is transparent and glazed. Meanwhile, place rice in 2 cups of water and cook for 15 minutes, or until fluffy and tender. Rinse rice in warm water, drain and add to hamburger mixture. Stir in mushroom and celery soups. Add milk, salt and pepper. Mix all thoroughly. Put into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole; sprinkle with chow mein noodles over the top. Place in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Serve with soy sauce.
