MAKE YOUR OWN TOSTADOS | |
1 lb. ground chuck 1 c. chopped onion 1 (1 5/8 oz.) pkg. enchilada sauce mix 1 1/2 c. water 1 c. (8 oz. can) tomato sauce 1 2/3 c. (16 oz. can) refried beans 1/2 undiluted Carnation evaporated milk Tortilla chips shredded Jack or Cheddar cheese Shredded lettuce Chopped tomatoes Sliced ripe olives Sliced green onions Sour cream Brown ground chuck and onion in large skillet. Drain off excess fat. Stir in enchilada sauce mix, water and tomato sauce, mix well. Boil gently, uncovered, 15 minutes. Stir in refried beans and evaporated milk. Heat to serving temperature. Arrange chips on plate. Spoon meat mixture over top. Add cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, onions, and sour cream as desired. |
