DROWNED BROCCOLI 
1 lg. bunch broccoli
2 lg. onions, chopped coarse
1 clove garlic, split
1/3 c. olive oil (maybe more)
1/2 tsp. oregano
Salt & pepper to taste
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 c. water
4 oz. Provolone cheese in thin strips

Separate broccoli into large spears and cut each in half or cut in small pieces. Wash and drain. Combine onion, garlic and broccoli in large pan with oil. Add oregano, salt and pepper and saute covered about 10 minutes or until broccoli is soft. Add tomato sauce and water, cover and cook 15 minutes more. Remove from heat. Add cheese slices. Return to heat; allow cheese to melt. This is delicious hot or cold.
