TEX-MEX BEANS 
3 c. dry pinto beans
4 sm. garlic cloves, minced
1/2 c. bacon, diced
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tbsp. chili powder
Pinch baking soda
Salt & pepper to taste

Soak beans overnight. Drain. Cover with water and cook 3 to 4 hours. For refried beans, drain and save bean juice. Mash and add juice back in to get desired consistency.
