1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1 lg. can cherry pie filling (other fruit combinations can be used)
1 box yellow cake mix
1 c. chopped nuts
1-2 sticks butter

Dump crushed pineapple into an ungreased pan and spread evenly. Dump cherry pie over pineapple. (Can be stirred together). Dump cake mix and spread evenly over fruit mixture. Sprinkle nuts. Cut butter into small pats and place evenly over the mixture. Bake 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool completely before serving. Add ice cream or Cool Whip before serving.
