I have a local overstock store that sells yellow cake mix by the 5 pound box and I make all kinds of things with this basic mix.. I follow this recipe except that I add one full bar of semi-sweet baking chocolate (melted per the package directions) and a handful of chocolate chips. My husband, pickiest man on earth, loves these fudgy brownies! For a different taste, use a bar of German Chocolate or Milk Chocolate and add a tablespoon of instant espresso for a mocha java brownie!

Tastes great, but make sure you even out the batter - my turned out funny looking because I thought it would self level, which it really didn't

I tried out the recipe for a community dinner, but added 1 tbsp oil and about another tbsp of water, along with some chopped up chocolate bits. It was fantastic! None of it came back home!
