2/3 c. shortening 1 lb. brown sugar 3 eggs 2 3/4 c. self rising flour 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1 (6 oz.) chocolate chips Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour and beat well with mixer. Add nuts and chocolate chips with spoon. You may also add coconut if you like (about 1 cup). Batter will be stiff. Spread in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. |
