BONNIE'S BUTTERSCOTCH PIE 
1 full c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. flour
Pinch of salt
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 c. milk

Combine ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium to medium high heat, stirring constantly, until desired thickness. Remove from heat and beat with rotary egg beater. Blend in 1 teaspoon vanilla and a chunk of butter.

MERINGUE:

2 level tbsp. sugar to each egg white
3 egg whites

Beat egg whites until frothy, gradually add sugar, and continue beating until sugar is blended in. Put butterscotch filling into baked pie shell. Spread with meringue making sure to seal meringue to edge of pie crust. Bake in 325 degree oven for 20 minutes or until meringue is golden brown.
