BRANDIED FRUIT MUFFINS OR LOAF
CAKE
 
2 c. white raisins
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
2 sticks butter
3 1/2 c. flour, or more
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. brandied fruit, drained and chopped

Boil first 4 ingredients together and cool. When cool, pour over rest of ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees. For muffins bake 25 minutes. For cakes bake 1 hour. Makes 4 dozen muffins or 3 small loaf cake.
