APPLE OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. finely diced, unpared apples
1/4 c. raisins
1/4 c. nuts
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. water

Cook above 10 minutes until thick and done.

Cream:

1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar

Add:

2 eggs

Add dry ingredients alternately with milk:

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. milk

Stir in:

2 c. quick cooked raw oatmeal

Reserve 3/4 cups dough. Drop remainder from teaspoon on greased and floured cookie sheet. Depress center. Top with a dab of apple filling and with dab of reserved dough. Bake 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
