1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. applesauce
3 tbsp. vinegar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. raisins, steamed

Cream together first 3 ingredients. Mix applesauce and vinegar. Sift together remaining dry ingredients. Combine all ingredients and cook at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.
