BLACK - EYED PEAS 
2 cans black-eyed peas
1 med. onion, cut into sm. pieces
6 slices bacon
Salt & pepper to taste

Fry bacon; drain on paper towel. Pour black eyed peas into bacon grease. Add onions, salt and pepper. When onions are done, mash with a potato masher. Serve right away with stewed tomatoes.
