DILL PICKLE DIP | |
This is a recipe for a party sized amount. It will be firmer when taken out of the refrigerator than most dips, but soften as it sits and warm. If a smoother out of the refrigerator dip is wanted, add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise to the mix (not lite). Halve the recipe for a family sized amount. 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 8 oz. dairy sour cream 1 cup dill pickle relish (10 oz. jar) or 1 cup finely chopped dill pickles 1 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 1/2 tsp. dried dill weed (or 2-3 tsp. finely minced fresh dill leaves) Allow cream cheese and sour cream to come to room temperature to soften. Combine ingredients well. Mixture will harden when chilled. Refrigerate prior to use. Best if chilled overnight to combine the flavors. Submitted by: Taterhill |
