CORN DODGERS 
1 c. white corn meal
2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. salt
1 lg. kitchen spoon of Crisco

Add ingredients to boiling water. Cook a few minutes until quite thick. Thin with milk. Make into a "pone" (oval shape). Have heavy skillet greased with Crisco or bacon fat. Bake in oven until brown. Approximately 1 hour.
