2 to 3 lbs. Swiss steak 1 or 2 med. onions 1 can Campbell's golden mushroom soup 1 can stewed tomatoes Brown Swiss steak in a small amount of vegetable oil (you can dust steak with flour first). Salt and pepper to taste. Slice onion and separate into rings. Place onion rings on top of steak pieces. Spoon mushroom soup on top of onion rings. Pour stewed tomatoes over mushroom soup. Cover and cook slowly until steak is tender. For more sauce, double the soup and tomato ingredients. |
