DIABETIC DATE BARS 
1 c. chopped dates
1 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
1 tbsp. liquid artificial sweetener or 4 packets
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix dates and applesauce; refrigerate for 8 hours. Mix sweetener, eggs, vanilla, butter, flour, soda, cloves and cinnamon in large bowl; add date mixture. Bake in 9x13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 23 to 25 minutes. Makes 51 to 18 servings.
