CRUMB TOPPED TOMATOES 
2 lg. tomatoes
2 tbsp. fine dry bread crumbs
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. dried basil, oregano or thyme, crushed or 1 tbsp. snipped parsley or chives
1/8 tsp. pepper
Dash of garlic or onion salt

Remove stems and core from tomatoes. Halve crosswise. Place cut side up in an 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, butter, herb, pepper, and salt. Sprinkle on top of tomatoes. Bake in 375 degree oven for 15 minutes or until heated through. I put pat of butter on top and keep ready, crumbs in jar. I combine several herbs.
