DUTCH COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
1 egg white, slightly beaten
Little water
Nuts to sprinkle over top

Mix butter and sugar together; add slightly beaten egg yolk. Then add salt, flour and cinnamon, mixing well. Add vanilla and nuts. Pat onto greased 12"x18" baking sheet, pressing evenly. Brush with slightly beaten egg white diluted with a little water. Sprinkle nuts over top. Bake for 30 minutes at 300 degrees. Cut while warm.
