PASTA SAUCE WITH MEAT 
1/2 lb. ground beef or turkey
1 c. chopped onions
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 1/3 c. (2 (15 oz.) cans) tomato sauce
2 tsp. dried oregano leaves (or 1 tsp. fresh)
2 tsp. dried basil leaves (or 1 tsp. fresh)
1/8 tsp. pepper (optional)
1/2 tsp. sugar

In medium saucepan, brown meat with onion and garlic for 3 to 4 minutes. Drain off excess fat. Stir in tomato sauce, oregano, basil, pepper (if desired) and sugar. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer gently for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve over hot pasta.
