POTATO CASSEROLE 
1 pkg. hash browns, thawed
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c. butter
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tsp. salt

Saute onion in butter. Add soup, cheese, and salt. Heat until cheese melts and add 1 pint sour cream. Mix with potatoes and let sit 15 minutes. Add 1/4 cup melted butter, 2 cups corn flakes. Spread on top or use crushed potato chips with no butter. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

If using chips on top, add to top last 10-15 minutes.
