BEST EVER BROWNIES 
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. flour

Mix all ingredients in medium mixing bowl. Beat by hand (about 50 strokes). Pour in greased oblong pan.

Bake 25 minutes at 325°F or 350°F. Remove from oven and sprinkle miniature marshmallows over brownies.

Bake for 5 more minutes. Remove from oven and pour icing over brownies.

Icing:

1 stick butter
6 tbsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring butter, 6 tablespoons vanilla and cocoa to a boil and add powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and pecans.
