PIE CRUST (SINGLE) | |
1 1/4 c. all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. shortening 3 or 4 tbsp. cold water Stir together flour and salt. Cut in shortening until pieces are the size of peas. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of water over part of mixture; gently toss with fork. Push to side of bowl. Repeat until all is moistened. Form dough into ball. Flour top of table surface; roll out dough from center to edge. Wrap pastry around rolling pin. Unroll on 9 inch pie pan. Trim off edge. Mash around edge with a fork. Bake at 450 degree for 10 to 12 minutes. |
