3 c. sugar
2/3 c. cocoa
Dash of salt
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. butter

Mix sugar, cocoa, salt and milk and bring to a boil on stove. Check to see if done by dropping a drop into cold water. If it's hard enough to hold together, it's ready. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla and butter. Beat. Pour into greased pan and let set.
