TAFFY APPLE SALAD 
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. cider or regular vinegar
1 (8 oz.) crushed pineapple (save juice)
4 c. cut-up apples
1 c. salted peanuts
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 carton Cool Whip

Cook flour, sugar, vinegar and pineapple juice until thick. Cool. Add beaten egg, pineapple, apple and nuts, mix well. Add Cool Whip. Keep chilled until serving.
