DAD'S MAPLE APPLE PIE 
CRUST:

2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter
6-7 tbsp. ice water

FILLING:

6 c. sliced tart apples
1 c. maple flavored syrup
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter

For the crust measure 2 cups of flour and 1 teaspoon salt into a bowl. Cut in butter with 2 knives or pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in ice water; mix well. Divide dough into halves. Roll out half and put in a 9" pie plate.
