FRUIT SALAD CAKE 
9 x 13 inch pan, greased
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail

Mix together all ingredients. Add fruit cocktail last and stir in gently. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

SAUCE FOR TOP (optional) (quite sweet) :

Boil together (3 minutes from first boil) : 3/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. evaporated milk

Boil for 3 minutes and pour over hot cake punctured with fork.
